We arrived at the bus station in La Ceiba around 6:30pm and needed to find a hotel. We did a bit of research before coming, but did not really know where we wanted to stay. From my perspective there were two places we could try. The center of town or the place where they say is the most happening area or where most of the parting happens. We decided to go to the happening part of town to see if we could find a place to crash for the night. We quickly referred to the book and just told the taxi driver to take us to Rotterdam.
The Rotterdam was in a good location right off the main road and less than a block to the beach. The hotel is very small, but the rooms are not very nice. Its not too bad, but the building is old and it does not feel that clean. I would not be surprised if they did not clean the sheets. The price is right and we made it work since we were only going to be there for the night and had to be up early to catch the ferry to Roatan.
Great for backpackers not so great if you do not have your own sheets and towels.
I could not find a website address. Just show up and see if they have a room available
The room we stayed in was $16 and had a double bed and single bed.
